“Enrolling in the Creative Mindful psychology course has been the best thing I have done in the last year, it has helped reconnect me to my creative side, focus my mind on areas of my life where I was lacking and have since made changes and allowed me to meet a group of people who are generous enough to let me join them on their journey. It is a supportive environment, which has allowed me to grow a huge amount in such a short period of time. I would encourage anyone who is looking at making changes in their lives or just wanting to getting in touch with their creative side to do this course.” J Whyte (New Zealand)
"Curiosity won and I clicked on a Facebook link, with plenty of trepidation and skepticism about where it might take me. How could I have known that it would lead me to a learning journey that answered every need and desire I had? The CM Practitioner and Coaching series is masterful in both design and presentation. It provides an extremely accessible, user-friendly and supportive environment for learning and personal growth. Being able to learn amongst peers from all walks of life added to the richness of the experience, but even more valuable was the wealth of integrity, wisdom, knowledge and creativity contributed by Barbara Grace. In this world it is difficult to find people you can trust, look up to and respect. As a mentor, Barbara, you have been exemplary. I couldn’t have hoped for better. The mark you have made on my life is indelible and the masterpiece that is CM has equipped me with every tool I need to become everything I was always meant to be. Thank you."
“Thank you Barbara for the introduction with the free mini course. It sparked a interest in mindfulness and creativity that I have, and has lead me to take the Practitioner, Coach and Trainer course. I am enjoying all aspects of the course, it has opened me up to the arts and given me an new interest in that.It is giving me new skills to be able to teach others how to improve their lives but unlocking themselves through a different way, Creativity. I am gaining more insight into how we can unblock ourselves. I am starting to share this work with groups and I love being able to share with them ways they can help themselves and feel safe knowing they can write things down and they don’t have to vocalise it. They love being able to contemplate and they also love the time to draw and create. It has shown me new ways that emotions and life’s problems can be understood and overcome through creativity.” J. Tunningley (Australia)
"I came to this course looking for a deeper understanding of myself and to connect with my creative side and have not been disappointed. The way the course is put together enables personal reflection, growth and understanding in a fun creative way. The online community issupportive and inspiring. Best thing I have done to nurture and nourish my spirit while finding my unique place in this world." S. Russell (New Zealand)
"Before finding the School of Modern Psychology I had spent time looking into different coaching courses. They seemed to be too business focused, or with those that had a creative aspect this seemed to apply to coaching Creative types of people e.g. artists, poets etc. They definitely didn’t fit with what I was looking for and I was reluctant to spend my money on them. I was looking for something that I could get my teeth into from the start. I didn’t want to spend hours and hours reading text books and literature, I wanted to learn, apply and reflect. I also wanted it to fit with my lifestyle.
The moment I found this course I felt it was the one. The best thing was I could try before I committed. I was initially worried about how I might be able to fit learning with a busy family life, commitments and work. I love that each module is broken down into manageable chunks and this means that it is easier to find time to fit into my day/week.
There is plenty of diversity in the materials; text, videos, examples and activities. Each piece is so informative in it’s own right but also weaves into a big jigsaw meaning the knowledge that you gaining starts to reveal itself as you go. This may make me sound a bit sad but I am genuinely excited to see what I am going to try next in each module! This is the best type of learning, one that you wake up wanting to immersive yourself in!
The real bonus for me is the coaching I receive from Barbara. This is time for me, to focus on what I need and want and that is priceless. When you have a session, Barbara instantly makes you feel at home and as you are already so familiar with Barbara’s voice and style this move into real one-to-one time transitions beautifully.
I feel I still have so much to learn in the course but I am already using the techniques in my day to day life and work with truly amazing results and feedback. It has increased the confidence I have in running creative workshops and also changed the conversations I have with the people that matter most to me. The course has made me see the power in being able to really connect with someone, and the true value in developing listening skills as opposed to ‘knowing’ skills." Lisa Townsend, UK
Before signing up for the Diploma of Creative Mindfulness Coaching course I’d looked at a number of Diploma options and thought this was a good fit for my interests. The course exceeded my expectations with a stimulating mix of theory, creative exercises, practical skills and challenge. I’ve woven a number of techniques into professional development sessions I run for school staff and am in the process of setting up my own coaching practice. Under pinning the strength of this course lies Barbara’s calm and insightful guidance, encouragement and support. Jo, NZ
